Joel started drawing as a child and never really stopped. He started painting in June 2002 shortly after his mother passed on. At the time he was also struggling with a dual addiction that continued for the next six years and nearly ended his life on several occasions. After a handful of trips to
different undesirable institutions, Joel decided he wanted to clean up. Joel's work represents his experiences. His work shows the constant struggle between the Flesh and the Spirit. Joel paints for stability when at times he might feel his own life is unstable.

This is a show that shouldn't be missed!
